Dear Teddy,
I wanted to thank you in writing for all you did for me while George was sick and the whole week following his death. Nobody was "there" in person as well as in spirit as much as you! Your Jewish Penicillin, your vegetable soup and chicken stew seemed to arrive at just the right time to pick up our spirits, along with a smile and some news of the outside world. Sometimes when I think of you I think of that line in the Bible about the woman who is more precious than rubies You really are that virtuous woman! You always seem to be doing for someone and I sometimes wonder where you get your stamina. I know that Willie and your kids are lucky to have you there - and that I am lucky, too, that you are a wonderful neighbor and part of my life, too.
If there is ever anything I can do for you or Willie, I hope you won't hesitate to ask - or, better yet, that you don't have to ask! Thank you again for everything.
Love
Becky
