Dear Mrs. Diamond,
I wanted to thank you for your marvelous recipe for Hamentoshen and to let you know that it will henceforth be our family tradition too. As you might know, Shraga and I are living in the US again, but a lot of our things are still with the shipping company, including cookbooks. Last weekend, when I realized I needed a recipe, I called Marcy, who gave me yours. As I was making the Hamentoshen, our Nina who lives in Olympia, WA called, wanted the recipe, made them too, and found them to be the best. My daughter Jessica visited, ate them, and immediately copied the recipe. Not only are they the best I've ever made, but the girls also like the fact that there is no dairy in them. So from now on, the Hamentoshen that will be baked by members (and who knows who else) of the Strass-Berenfeld family will be "Mrs. Diamond's Hamentoshen."
