Dear Mrs. Diamond,
I just wanted to thank you for being such a friend to my parents throughout my father's illness. As his condition worsened, he received fewer and fewer visitors. I think he began to feel "cut off" from the outside world. Your constant visits made him feel that he was still connected to others. He was also nourished by your many varieties of chicken soup. You are a true mensch, Mrs. Diamond, and my parents were privileged to have a friend like you.
With gratitude,
Sandy
