Ruth, and her husband Willie, both contributed their bodies for medical research through the Humanity Gifts Registry of Pennsylvania

Each year, a "Celebrations of Remembrance" is held in which student medical researchers have an opportunity to meet families of donors and and share thoughts and expressions of gratitude.

This document reflects the importance of these gifts as expressed by the students.
